Zorro

I recently re watched one of my favorite childhood tv series Hip Hip Hurray and loved it again. It is about students from one high school in India and their many adventures, trials, the problems they face and how they overcome them, basically it is a coming-of-age story.
So, it was not wrong of me to assume that I would like Kaiketsu Zorro, another one of my favorite childhood series, a Japanese English dubbed cartoon show. But I just did not like it. I remember the time everything about this show used to please me, so much as to the point of me developing a crush on the lead character Zorro. But this time around I thought Zorro was a cocky self-righteous weirdo who was just in the right place at the right time with the odds always in his favor. I even remember how the mysteries intrigued me, now I feel like every episode is pretty much the same! Some bad guy is doing something bad to some good guy/guys, the rest of the people around are just by-standers who do nothing to help the poor good guy/guys. At the nick of nick, just when something very bad is about to happen to the good guy/guys, enters Zorro. And the innocent by-standers go... Oh look its Zorro and the bad guy goes... What... Zorro!
And of course Zorro saves the good guy/guys. But since the army had branded him as a rebel, every episode ends with him being chased, unsuccessfully by the soldiers.
Of course I cannot expect to be satisfied at this age with what what was my ideal show once when I was little but I cannot help but feel a little disappointed and also a little cheated for fantasizing about watching reruns of this show for so long! Oh, well, here's to hoping I fare better with Lizzie McGuire.

Gary Blauman

The final season of How I Met Your Mother.... I have loved this show but this season was a bit of a disappointment. A stretched scene, stretched stories and a limited timeline. The whole season is supposed to take place in a matter of weeks so I understand the limitations but I have such high expectations from this show specially this being the last season and all... Well there were some pretty bad episodes... the slap of  a million exploding suns and the bedtime stories one with the rhymes, I mean what were those! Of course there were perfect episodes like How your mother met me and Daisy. But all in all this season was a big damn disappointment!
And Gary Blauman was headed in the same direction. the stretchy bits with I... pause pause pause... love that guy. I.... pause pause pause... love that I can destroy that guy! The beginning of relationship between Ted and the mother was the only tolerable thing about that episode but then... HIMYM did it again... It turned the whole thing around and make us emotional! First it was this heart touching speech.... "And that is how it goes, the friends neighbours, drinking buddies, and partners in crime u love so much when you are young, as the years go by you just lose touch. You will be shocked when You'll discover how easy it is not in life to part ways with people forever. That's why when you find someone you wanna keep around you do somthing about it." and that kiss. I don't care if that was cheesy and I don't care if Ted is a big disaster but that kiss was perfect! And then since this is like one of the last ever episodes, HIMYM provided us closure about the other characters! Of course any HIMYM fan would love to know what happens to the other characters! Runjit has his own limo service and Zoey still fights for her causes. It melts my heart! I can never not love this show. I remember crying in almost every episode of Season 6. that was so sad! Robin crying in the subway, Marshall losing his dad. and Barney finding his father! I am pretty sure the finale will make me sob and the hole in my heart after this show is gone will take a long time to fill!

Daria

I love her. I love her sarcasm, her use of irony in just about anything. I love her don't-give-a-damn attitude. I love that her smile is so rare it is precious. I love everything about her. People might call her dysfunctional but what the hell do thay know. At least she does not have deep-rooted insecurities, proved that time some shrink tried to hypnotize her. I love that she is normal enough to have a best friend, though that may have something to do with the fact that Jane is equally cynical. Daria is super smart, aces at almost all the tests and is even normal enough to fall for a guy or two. She has a conscience sometimes, like the time she could not leave that lost kid alone in that parade. She obviously cares about her family even Quinn.

Once Upon a Time

Why do I even bother with this nonsense! Every season, in fact, every episode is most ridiculous than the previous and it just never ends! But here I am watching it, waiting for the next episode to come out. The only reason I started watching it in the first place was because of Emma ((I liked Zoey in HIMYM). She has to be the main protagonist. It makes me a little angry not seeing her name in the first credits.
Let me start by ranting about Snow. is a pretty good actress. But I hated the character of Snow White. I get her not wanting to turn dark and all but wanting to forgive Regina, stopping her execution and actually trying to change her after everything has to be the stupidest thing anyone can ever do. Serves her right then suffering after the curse and all. Her hair, I hate her hair in Storybrooke. Snow fighting dark, Snow fighting everything! It cannot get more annoying. Sometimes I don't blame Regina. Why doesn't it ever grow? She is not both Rapunzel and Snow White is she!
And what I can say about Prince Charming. Even the name makes me so mad. And he is not good-looking either. And such a pushover. Snow has him wrapped around her little finger. There is nothing charming around a guy who cannot stand up to himself and is pretty much incapable of getting angry.

Ted Mosby, the saint

Hey Ted, remember that time in season 8 when you admitted to still having feelings for Robin, I thought that was the lamest thing ever. Dude, yes i realize you being the hopelessly romantic type believe in the notion of 'the one' and destiny and all but its been eight years so move on already.
But I will admit that when you left your important meeting and went to assist Robin even when she told you that she was 'okay', my heart went out to you dude. Yes you obviously care for Robin like a lot and you clearly understand her more than Barney does. Oh and yeah you have loved her longer.

They say there is one such person in everybody's life who loves you not only from their heart but from the soul, by their very existence of being. You were that guy for Robin. The strong connection you felt the first time you saw her, you fell in love with her very much into the first date, you even fought the nature for her, and who can forget the big romantic gesture of stealing a french horn and finally she had to comply. But even you have to admit that you guys were just not meant to be. Firstly, you were so very different. Robin always trying to hide what feminine side she had somewhere deep down and you trying to bring out not only her feminine side but also your own. And the fact that you guys were never on the same page didn't help matters either. You had probably started imagining a future together and naming your kids from your first week together though Robin had been quite clear that she wanted neither commitment nor kids in the near or even the distant future.
You guys broke up, decided not be be friends, finally got along to be friends even roommates and you decided that you still have feelings for her. You tried to make it work again, she had mixed feelings about the whole thing, thankfully you did not go for a big romantic gesture this time because believe me, it would have come off as super creepy. And Robin said the words "I love  you but I am not in love with you" and friendzoned you forever. I feel for you, I really do.
